My Realigned 1946 College Football Project
I’ve decided to go with a new project to celebrate the recent release of the new game.
It’s pretty simple. We’re going back to 1946. I’m going to control Notre Dame, and we’ll see how far we get.
However, the college football landscape has changed completely.
Instead of allowing big teams to beat up on weaklings, I’ve reconstructed all of college football, hammering it down to 64 teams divided into 8 geographic divisions.
The teams will play a 14 game schedule, playing only division rivals. Teams finishing in first place will move on to the playoffs.
This creates a balanced schedule, though I do realize and admit that the divisions themselves are not entirely balanced. The Mountain division is particularly weak, while the Great Lakes division is going to be really tough.
I also did a lot of research into original backfield formations, which you can see more about in the video above.
Stick around for this project! It should be a wild one.
